Dear Wendy, Just a note of thanks for the drive round refresher on the lorry. It was just right for me – both the instructor and the Volvo FM 7 lorry. I learned lots and have taken extensive notes on everything Bob told me.
Bob was patient, non-judgmental and inspired confidence (which I didn't feel). The refresher was well worth the money and I couldn't have just taken such a vehicle out on the road with the experience. I would have liked a short time reversing but as Bob said the driving was more important and seeing how I was improving I can testify to that.
Thank you for being so friendly and honest in your dealings and thanks to Bob – he was brilliant!

I was very happy with the training provided by Michelle, she put me at ease when I was driving and didn't give the impression she was watching every move I made (although she probably was) which would have put me on edge and made me nervous.
Michelle's instructions were very clear and straight forward it made driving all around mid Essex in the minibus fun, and thanks to Michelle I passed with a clear sheet which I was over the moon with.
I would certainly recommend Michelle and K&W & daughters training to others.

Thank you so much for helping me pass my trailer test! I couldn't have asked for better people to guide me through the experience.
I found your company through a horse and hound forum tread, you were highly recommend so I gave you a call. I spoke to Wendy on the phone and she was so kind and helpful I felt at ease straight away - a previous company had told me after an £42 assessment drive I had to train for 3 days then take my test costing just under £1000. Wendy said I could do it in a day which was great news!
I spent the day with Michelle, who was lovely! She also made me feel very relaxed and confident. It was a very intense day but Michelle couldn't have been more thorough, she left nothing unexplained!
I was doing my test so I could take my horse for days out in the trailer, 4 days previous he had gone in for a life saving operation so the pressure was on for me to pass so I could bring him home if he recovered post op.
I was more nervous than I expected to be when my test started, I wanted Michelle back in the car! But I could here her in my head telling me what to do. An hour later I was told I had passed!! YAY! I can't thank Michelle enough for her patience, knowledge and encouragement that got me through that test.
I would highly recommend K and W and Daughters to anybody wanting to pass their trailer test, don't be fooled by company's telling you 3 days minimum is a must!
Thankfully I can say my horse is recovering well and is at home (thanks to a friend ) my trailer had a flat tyre the day he was discharged unfortunately, but once he's recovered the world is our oyster thanks to you guys!!!

Thank you so much to Michele for training me to take my minibus test, there is no way I would have passed first time with out her encouragement. She relaxed me when my initial nerves kicked in and helped me adjust to using the new vehicle on the roads. Before my test she kept me calm (before I was a bundle of nerves!) and built my confidence to take the test. She was also there when I got back to support me!
Also thank to Wendy for her patience and organisation when sorting out my training.

I've been meaning to send you a christmas card but it's been hectic so i thought i'd send you an email instead.
I'd just like to say a massive thank you for everything you have done for me. Ever since day 1 you have been so helpful and made sure that i passed my C1 in the time i had allocated, without your kind words i would have still been panicking about getting it all done now! The service you provide is top notch and i have nothing to complain about, even help with finding a cheap place to have medicals done and providing all the details to get my licence back from the DLVA was great and i am so thankful.
Keith was brilliant with the training and made me feel confident and at ease within the first session. It was lovely to see him so passionate about what he does - coming up to the lorry after the test with a big smile and thumbs up, waiting to find out if i'd passed! It was a nice touch.
So a big thanks to you both, you provide such a friendly, helpful and caring service, i really appreciate what you have done for me!

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for everything. From the start it was a pleasure, Wendy was so helpful arranging course times and test date. I met Bob who was extemely helpful and helped me to become familiar with the truck and driving the truck. I then met Keith and he took me for the last day and day of my test. He wasa so calm and relaxed and helpful. I felt confident and calm under his instruction.
On my test day I had one last lesson before taking my test. Keith was so friendly and positive and gave me reassurance. After my test when i got back Keith was there waiting to find out. When i told him I had passed he was so pleased and excited for me. It is thanks to his expert tuition that i felt comfortable with taking my test. I have thoroughy enjoyed my time with this company. I would highly recommend this company. They are professional and really helpful. They are genuinely interested and positive and really want the best for you.

Firstly thank you so much for arranging the HGV birthday experience for Rachel on 18/11/12.
Fortunately we were blessed with decent weather on the morning and she was thrilled with the surprise. Bob was great and took time to instruct and demonstrate many aspects of driving and handling an HGV all of which she took to almost immediately. The experience proved to be a great present which she thoroughly enjoyed, the beaming smile throughout gave it away. Thank you for creating the certificate which will serve as a reminder of a challenging but fun few hours. It was certainly great value for money, lived up to my expectation and well worth the long trip from Sussex to Essex.
Could you please thank Bob again for making the experience so special, even down to the Yorkie bar he presented Rachel at the end, a nice personal touch.

Hi Wendy,
I just wanted to write to thank you for such an excellent service your company have given me. Firstly when I first rang I found yourself very informative and friendly, you even personally brought the forms I need to apply for my medical to my home within the hour.
You kept me informed once I had booked my lessons, and I meet up with Keith who showed me the truck and we started on my lessons. I have never driven a Hgv before (not even started one up) within minutes Keith had me relaxed and confident. The following 3 lessons went so well and Keith was so patient and left me quietly confident from my test. Thanks to the fantastic work by Keith I sailed through first time with only 2 minors which is a credit to Keith.
The 1 thing that I have told countless people since is when I finished the test e examiner gave me the good news and I looked in my mirror to see keith looking at me with the "did you pass" look in his eyes and his thumb up in hope. I gave home the thumbs up in return and a big smile shone on his face. I thought to myself "what a lovely man, he really wanted me to pass first time"

I would just like to say a big thank you to both Wendy and Keith for arranging and seeing through my recent LGV class 1 training and test.
I’m so glad that I bumped into your daughter at Chelmsford test centre a few weeks back. After telling her how I’d been ripped off to the tune of £1000 by an ‘LGV training company’ called ‘Quickpass’ (STEER WELL CLEAR OF THOSE COWBOYS) she gave me her business card and I gave Wendy a call. Best move I could’ve made.
After lending a sympathetic ear to the problem I was having with the other mob, Wendy took my details and within, I think about 15 mins she had called me back with a test date in Chelmsford (which is exactly what I wanted) and a date and times to start my training. Even though at very short notice I realised that I wouldn’t be able to train on one of the mornings and that the afternoon would be better, both Wendy and Keith didn’t hesitate in rearranging their schedule to accommodate me.
Keith, not only a very good, reassuring and very knowledgeable instructor, but also a genuinely very nice guy. Not only did I go on to pass my test first time but I also, after a few threats of legal action, eventually got all my money back from Quickpass. So it all turned out well in the end.
So thank you once again to Keith and his family and I shall certainly recommend you and your services to anyone looking for driver training in the future.

Thank you very much for the excellent instruction that I had with the D1+E; your minibus and Trailer are in excellent condition. The instructor was great; his calm manner helped me put right the errors that I had previously. He also explained to me the structure of the test and what was expected of me (this had not happened with a previous company and I was given incorrect information). The two days prior to the test were very valuable, where your instructor took me round various roads and detailed the way that I should drive -- the fact that I drive a minibus during the week had given me a lot of bad habits; these were corrected.
On the day of the day of the test we arrived in good time after an hour of instruction; the cup of tea prior to the test was great.
Thank you Wendy and team for the way you instructed me and the way you handle people. I would recommend Keith Williams and Daughters to all drivers.

I would just like to pass on my thanks to you for organisining my PCV training.
From my preliminary telephone enquiry I was impressed with the efficiency of Wendy, answering all my questions and then faultlessly arranging both the training, CPC and practical tests to fit in with my busy work schedule. Thanks also to Bob for being a patient, obviously vastly experienced, and an effective instructor. Without his help I doubt I would have managed a first time pass.
I would definately recommend K & W & Daughters to anyone looking to undertake PCV training.

I consider myself to be a difficult student to teach (as do my former instructors), because I demand a high standard of instruction and interaction rather than just sitting down and allowing myself to be spoken at and simply criticised. Keith, did a marvelous job. The standard of driving he taught to and expected from me was high, but more importantly he communicated with me in a very clear, unrushed and constructive manner. Previous instructors took my mistakes as a chance to unleash colourful vocabularies at me, whereas Keith always made me feel like it was an opportunity to learn - this reduced my stress and improved my performance.
I'm also certain that driving Keith's clean and well maintained Volvo FL6 contributed to my success. The precise gearbox took much of the worry of the gear-change exercise away.
In the end, Keith took me from having failed twice at another school, to passing my 'C' test in just two days including the test, and (a month later) my "C+E" test took just another three days of training including the test.
Since gaining my C and C+E I have taken one rigid and two artic driving assessments for agency driving work. All have been passed with only minor comments (itself a testament to Keith), and I now drive artics on a regular basis for Sainsburys.
