Professional D1 & D1+E Minibus Training in Essex

At K & W and Daughters Driver Training Services, we provide expert PCV driver training for D1 (Minibus) and D1+E (Minibus and Trailer) categories.

All courses are taught 1-to-1 by experienced instructors using our modern training vehicles, ensuring you qualify safely, confidently, and with a high first-time pass rate.

Our PCV training courses typically run around 3-5 days, with your DVSA driving test at the end.

We also offer evening and weekend training by request to suit your schedule — just contact us for availability.

Driver CPC mod 4 (Certificate of Professional Competence) with our in house CPC assessor.

If you plan to drive PCVs professionally, you’ll need a Driver CPC qualification, made up of four parts:

1. Theory tests – Part 1A & 1B
2. Case study mod 2 theory – Part 2
3. Off road menouvre/s 3a and practical driving test 3b – Part 3
4. CPC mod 4 – Part 4 – in house assessment

Only required if you’re driving commercially for hire or reward.

Our team can arrange everything — from booking your medical and theory tests to guiding you through your CPC and final driving test.

If you already hold your licence and would like to gain your driver CPC mod 4 we can take care of this for you in house – please enquire for more information

Course Options

We provide 1-to-1 driver training for the following categories:

Car to Class 1 (Cat CE Direct Access)
B+E – Car & Trailer
C1 – Medium Goods (7.5 Ton)
C1+E – Medium Goods & Trailer (up to 12 Ton)
C – Large Goods (10 to 32 Ton Rigid)
C+E – Articulated (Class 1)
D1 – Minibus
D1+E – Minibus & Trailer

All courses run from 3 to 6 days and are 1-to-1 training only.

They are very professional and Josh’s teaching style is great. Really enjoyed my training and will definitely be recommending K&W and daughters in the future! Thank you guys! (Edit) Apparently you can only write 1 review so I’m adding to this one! I passed my C+E a year and a half ago and wanted to refresh my skills as I stayed with my old job instead of moving on to class 1. Josh took me out for a few hours to learn and practice some more reverse manoeuvres and a few on road driving tips aswell as a refresh on coupling and uncoupling. Although I retained the knowledge he gave me when I first passed it was nice to have some extra skills under the belt and from as always a great instructor! Cannot recommend these guys enough.
